After starting back to work life got a little crazy! I was planning on updating the blog regularly but then I just felt too busy to update. Once I had missed a month then it was like "well I missed a month, what's another day". Bad thinking in my opinion lol. So anyway, I'm going to actively make an effort to update at least once a week because things are about to get rolling. Here are some updates from the past few months...

Today is my first day back to work! I can't believe how fast this summer went! It usually goes pretty quick because of being so busy but August flew by and most of that we just me sitting at home reading :P. I'm nervous but excited for today. I can't wait to just get it over with. It's one of those things that I feel are like ripping off a bandage. I really would rather stay at home but since I can't I'd rather just get it over with quickly.
Routine is definitely called routine for a reason lol. Today I decided to do stuff differently and I felt like my whole morning was thrown off. I will still able to achieve all my morning plans but it took too much time and too much "what should I do next?". Instead by having a routine I can easily know what I'm going to do next and quickly get it done without thinking.
It really is crazy how changing one little thing can have a snowball effect. By having a morning routine in place to help me be more productive before starting my day I have been able to be more productive during the day as well. Do you remember how the other day I said I wanted to makeover my mornings in order to be more productive? Well even the first day where I didn't do anything most of the day I was more productive because of what I was able to get done before the day even started. Today I was able to be even more productive after that!
So my whole "I'll update after my consultation" didn't quick work out so well. Have you noticed that I'm horrible for updating on here?!?! I'm hoping to change that! But I'll talk about that more on my next post, for now I'm going to just get you caught up on everything that has been going on.
I decided to clean up the website a bit. I'm hoping that I can start blogging more about specific topics as well as keeping up with YouTube. This might just be a dream but I think I can do it. Blogging takes a lot less time (usually) than filming, editing, and uploading a vlog but I've said that before. To be honest the blog was a bit of a mess. The categories were overflowing and there was no clear purpose to the blog other than as a journal. So I've cleaned it up and narrowed it down to a few topics. The majority of my posts were from my trying to conceive days. Oh the hope, oh the indecision lol. I'm so glad that my path is now clear and I'm moving forward.
It's been a while since I posted and wanted to give you a quick life update. I got a job teaching in northern Ontario. It's not ideal as I would rather be in Alberta but it's much better than a call centre and it's a step in the right direction. As hard as it is to leave my family yet again I know that it is necessary in order to help bring my daughter home sooner as well as give her the best life possible. I've been losing quite a bit of weight since moving too so that's an added bonus. I'm starting to apply for jobs in Alberta and hopefully will be moving there in the summer. This would allow me to start the adoption process in the fall! I'm so excited but also scared as things will still take a while to save up enough money and the process itself is a long one. Overall I'm feeling very hopeful and excited for the future and can't wait to share this journey with you. |
