My ReviewWhat I enjoyed most was that it normalized breastfeeding. It didn't make it something special or different, it's just what our bodies were meant to do. I sometimes feel like there are a lot of “mommy wars” about who can breastfeed longer or “better” or whatever but this book made it less complicated. It simplified things to “your body was made for this” and therefore every woman has the potential to breastfeed (with a few exceptions). I enjoyed that this book wasn't just about positions and techniques. It focused on how natural it is and that (almost) any woman can do it, even if you haven't given birth before. I enjoyed that it focused on all the positive aspects of breastfeeding, and pointed out that if it hurts something is not right. I loved this book so much! The only thing I wish was different was that there were more stories. Overall I feel like this is a must read for all parents (even men!) who want their child to be breastfed. I understand there are woman out there that would rather formula feed but for those who want to breastfeed this is an amazing and empowering book. It covers pretty much every issue that might come up and provides practical solutions for the problem. This is a great guide for all parents.
